A ten-second video of a red female figure moving through a deep electric blue void — no face, no speech, no text. The series takes its name from the Persian Suraiya, the Pleiades; red carries the body and its will, blue carries memory and the unknown. The figure is not one woman but a constellation of them, assembled from a century of images of feminine strength.
