NFT SurR Post: Where Visual Art Meets Technology.

NFT SurR Post publishes the SurR.Ai Registry — a permanent record of every artwork by Vladi Lepi — and the stories behind the work, since 2023.

Behind every work is a story. That has been the premise here since 2023 — a place for the backstories, the references, the ideas and inheritances that go into what SurR.Ai makes.

From September 2026 there is a second thing alongside it: the SurR.Ai Registry, a permanent public record of the works themselves.

The two belong together. This publication has always been about the stories behind the work. The registry is the work. A record without its context is a spreadsheet; context without a record is a blog. Here they sit in one place, and they are searchable together.

What you'll find here

Registry entries. One per work, published a work at a time — its number, year, form, where it lives on-chain, its edition status, and a short note on how it was made. Entries are never removed.

Articles. The longer pieces. Where a work carries a story worth more than three lines, this is where it's told — alongside writing on the phygital model, the collectibles market, and the thinking behind the practice.

The Charter. What the registry is, how to verify any work in it, and what it deliberately does not claim. → Registry Charter

The studio

SurR.Ai is the studio identity of the artist Vladi Lepi, working through LV Agency, Inc. of New York. The practice began over a weekend in July 2022 with a first hundred works, before there was a name for any of it. The archive now exceeds 2,500.

The work began as silent visual art — still images and video without sound — and that remains most of the archive. Newer work brings sound in. Throughout, AI is used as a compositional instrument under the artist's direction: the artist does not prompt algorithms, he choreographs them.

Why a registry

Provenance in the art trade is almost always written last — assembled years afterwards from invoices, stockbooks and memory, by people who weren't there when the work was made.

The registry writes it first.
